Granola Bars

Our granola bars are chewy, fibre-filled and delicious, with no added oil thanks to the nut or seed butter. Customize for endless variations of this classic easy snack.


Yield: 8 bars

INGREDIENTS

  • ⅓ cup Nuts to You nut or seed butter

  • ½ cup maple syrup

  • 2 Tbsp ground flax seed

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • ½ cup nuts, seeds and/or coconut

  • 2 cups rolled oats

  • ½ tsp salt

  • Optional: ⅓ cup chocolate chips

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Pre-heat oven to 325⁰F. Line an 8”x8” square baking pan with parchment paper; set aside.

2. Place nut butter and maple syrup in a pot over medium heat. Stir until melted and combined. Add ground flax seed, vanilla extract, nuts/seeds/coconut, rolled oats and salt. Stir until well blended.

3. Transfer mixture to baking pan and press into an even layer. To help avoid sticking, dip your fingers in water.

4. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.

5. Allow to cool for 5 minutes, then slice into 8 even bars.

6. You can melt the optional chocolate chips in a double boiler and drizzle it over top of the granola bars using a spoon or a piping bag.

7. Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
